FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
Yes. A nonrefundable deposit of 50% is required and applied to your total balance. Your session is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
WHEN DO YOUR BOOKS OPEN?
Our books open every other month on the 25th at 12:00 PM, and we open the calendar for two months at a time.
(EXAMPLE: Books for January and February open on December 25th. Books for March and April open on February 25th, and so on.)
The only exception is prom bookings, which open March 1st every year. On that date, April - June dates are released only for prom bookings.
DO YOU HAVE A GRACE PERIOD?
Yes.
- Sessions that are 30 minutes long have a 10 minute grace period.
- Sessions that are 45 minutes or longer have a 15 minute grace period.
If you have not arrived within your grace period, your appointment will be automatically canceled.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, we do! Our travel fee starts at $100 for locations within the state of South Carolina. We do not travel for studio sessions.
I WENT TO YOUR SITE & DIDN'T SEE ANY AVAILABILITY. CAN YOU SQUEEZE ME IN?
Squeeze-ins are sometimes available depending on our schedule. If you don't see any open time slots, we are most likely booked for the day, but reach out to confirm.
Squeeze-in sessions require the full balance to be paid up front along with an additional $125 squeeze-in fee.
DO YOU PROVIDE THE TRUCK FOR BLACK TRUCK SESSIONS?
No. Clients must provide their own vehicle for any truck or car sessions. Most clients use a friend or family member's truck, or rent one themselves. The Surreal Flixx team does not assist with securing a vehicle.
I NEED MY EDITS BACK SOONER THAN THE TURNAROUND TIME. CAN I PAY A RUSH FEE?
Yes. Rush fees depend on how soon you need your edits:
Within 24 hours of selection - $150 rush fee
Within 2 days of selection - $125 rush fee
Within 4 days of selection - $100 rush fee
Studio Rush Fees:
Within 7 days of selection - $150
Within 5 days of selection - $200
Within 3 days of selection - $250
YOU'RE ONLY AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS -- CAN I BOOK YOU DURING THE WEEK?
Yes, weekday evening sessions are available on a limited basis. These are considered squeeze ins and require a $125 squeeze-in fee. Please contact us directly to discuss booking after-hours.
To book a weekday session, the 50% deposit and the $125 squeeze-in fee must be paid in full up front.
CAN I PAY FOR ADDITIONAL EDITS?
Yes! Additional edits are $25 per additional edit. Additional edits may extend your turnaround on your edits.
CAN I HAVE THE PROOF WATERMARK REMOVED?
Yes! Proof mark removal on your unedited images is $90.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND FOR SUPPORT?
Yes! You may bring a plus one or two guests for support. We just ask that you limit your group to no more than two guests to avoid crowding during your session.
